Bradford

There are 9 partners schools in Bradford: three primary and six secondary schools.

In Bradford, we work with Dixons Academies Trust and Oasis Community Learning.

Dixons Academies Trust‘s mission is to challenge educational and social disadvantage in the Bradford and Leeds region. They establish high-performing non-faith academies which maximise attainment, value diversity, develop character and build cultural capital. A ‘relentless focus on learning’, one of the six Dixons Core principles, underpins all their work, not least their historic commitment to excellence in teacher training.

Among our Dixons primaries in Bradford is Dixons Music Primary, the latest Dixons academy to be judged as outstanding by Ofsted. In 2015, 76% of EYFS reception children achieved a good level of development, 10% above the national average and 90% children passed their phonics screening check, 13% above the national average. Amongst Dixons’ secondaries is Dixons Trinity, the first secondary free school to be judged outstanding, less than 18 months after opening. All Dixons Trinity students were entered a year early for their core science GCSE. 97% students made expected progress compared with 56% nationally and 66% made more than expected progress.

In Bradford, we also work with Oasis Community Learning, who exist to deliver ‘Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community.’ We are driven by a strong ethos of inclusion, hope, perseverance, healthy relationships and equality, which permeates all aspects of the life and culture in each academy. All of our academies are committed to developing character and competence within every young person, raising their aspirations and providing the exceptional teaching and learning that they need to reach their full potential.

Oasis Academy Lister Park’s improvement was recently recognised by Ofsted through the removal of ‘special measures’. The Academy was also judged to have ‘Good leadership and management’. Oasis Community Learning remain committed to driving continual improvement and transforming the Academy into the ‘Outstanding’ school that the local community deserves.

Our Bradford Schools

Being in the school from day one really makes a difference. The staff were all so supportive.
